Take Scotts Valley exti from I-5. Go east on County Road 7 (Elkhead Road) to County Road 8 (Scotts Valley Road). Turn left past Elkhead mines; opposite the mine on a hill called Turkey Hill. He was born 27 Dec 1818 and died 7 June 1867 in a hunting accident. The grave is marked with a stone.
